I grew up listening to music. My dad played drums and always had some great album playing in our home. Usually it was something by the Beatles. My mom played various instruments and was an excellent singer. I always loved to hear her sing.
Music has always been a big part of my life. A guitar for my 14th birthday was one of my best presents ever, although it took me almost a year of frustration to even play anything on it, nearly giving it up several times along the way.
Over the years, I have amassed quite a CD collection. Some of them are local bands I got to know playing in several amateur bands in the Mid-Michigan club scene. Others are just great rock or blues albums I found in used record stores or by signing myself up for BMG several times a semester.
I don’t play in any serious bands anymore, but my love of music remains. I try to see live music every chance I get. One of my favorite things about working from home as a Technical Writer is that I get to crank up my music when working on documentation. I decided to make things fun and do a full A to Z playlist of my collection. This blog is a collection of stories, reactions, and feelings I have while listening to them along the way.
Hope you enjoy the journey as much as I do.
